Execution reinforcement for investors and operating leadership teams

Finding the real constraint is only useful if you can act on it.

Investor-backed businesses know something needs to move faster, scale better or perform differently. Projekt4 reads what is constraining execution inside the business and in the market around it, then works out what needs to change and puts the right capability against it.

The output is not another report.

It is an execution decision.

And the answer follows the problem.

One business. Two lenses.

See the whole situation.
Then decide what changes.

01

Domain / operating lens

What is happening in and around the business?

Experienced operators read the internal operating reality and the market around it. They know what good looks like because they have operated through these situations themselves.

02

Organisation / people lens

What capability does the business actually need?

Projekt4 tests the requirement against how the organisation runs today, then finds and deploys the capability to deliver it. Where additional capability is not the answer, we say so.

Capability · Capacity · Ownership · Experience · Team shape · Dependency · Accountability
Combined outputWhat needs to change→Who or what is needed→How it should be deployed

Roles follow requirements, not the other way around.

You don’t have to start with an assessment

Bring us the mandate.
Or bring us the problem.

Mandate first
“We need an experienced VP Engineering for six months.”

The requirement is broadly clear. We pressure-test the mandate, search the market and move quickly to deployment. Days to a first candidate, not weeks.

Problem first
“Engineering output isn’t improving despite continued investment.”

The problem is real but the intervention is not yet clear. We assess the environment, identify the constraint, define the intervention and deploy against it.

Problem-first assessment

Short, paid and tightly scoped, typically completed in one to two weeks. It ends with an execution decision, not an obligation to deploy Projekt4 capability.

Where complexity is high and time is short

When the ambition and the
operating reality diverge.

01

Scale

Capital is in. Organisation, product and technology now need to catch up with the ambition.

02

Technology & AI

Architecture, data, engineering or AI is constraining the business, but another technology project may not be the answer.

03

M&A / PMI

Platforms, teams, processes and accountability now have to become one operating business.

04

Product & commercial

Product investment is not converting into adoption, revenue or margin as expected.

05

Organisation

Decisions are slow, key people are bottlenecks, or the organisation has not kept pace with growth.

06

Clear capability gap

Management knows what is missing and needs an experienced person or team quickly.

How it moves

From context to consequence.

01

Assess

Understand the business, its domain and the market around it.

02

Define

Identify the binding constraint and translate it into an execution mandate.

03

Decide

Choose the intervention: a person, team, or change to process, technology or ownership.

04

Reinforce

Find and deploy the right specialist, operator, team or change.

05

Deliver

Work alongside management until the change holds, transfer capability and deliberately step out.

Measured in the business: engineering throughput, product adoption, cloud cost, decision speed, founder dependency or integration progress.

The execution decision

Make the intervention
explicit.

01

Constraint

What is preventing progress?

02

Priority

What should be addressed now?

03

Mandate

What work needs doing?

04

Capability

What skills and experience are required?

05

Intervention

A person, team or organisational change?

06

Engagement

How should it be deployed?

07

Outcome

What measurable result should follow?

The operating model

We do not start with
a role to fill.

Problem→Constraint→Mandate→Capability→Intervention→Execution→Measurable change
Continuity through execution

Where the intervention requires an operator, the person who understands the constraint remains involved through delivery where appropriate. Diagnosis does not disappear at the handover.

Capability shaped around the mandate

Projekt4 draws on or searches a wider network across product, technology, data and AI, commercial, finance, operations and transformation, rather than fitting the mandate to whoever happens to be available.

We start with what needs to change and work backwards. That separates Projekt4 from consultancy, which typically stops at recommendation; executive search, which starts with a defined role; and conventional fractional leadership, which starts with a leadership requirement.

The intervention follows the problem

Specialist → Senior Specialist → Functional Leader → Fractional Executive → Small Team → Permanent Hire

Or not a person at all: a change to process, technology, ownership or the way the organisation is run.
From assumption to intervention

The software wasn’t
the real problem.

Presented as

A technology and document-management problem across nine countries, with a new CRM implementation in flight.

Assessment showed

The constraint sat across process ownership, information flows and cross-functional handoffs, not the software.

Requirement changed

The business needed capability spanning data, process and the operating environment.

Result

A different mandate aimed at the real constraint, measured by handoffs and cycle time improving, not by a system going live.
